About
A platform built to close the distance between technology and adoption.
Subirachs Ventures exists because the hardest part of emerging technology is not the technology. It is everything between a capability existing and an organisation, a market or a customer actually using it.
Why we exist
The problem we kept seeing
Companies do not struggle to hear about emerging technology. They struggle to decide what it means for them, and then to do anything about it that survives contact with their own organisation.
The same pattern repeats: strong interest, a period of exploration, a report, and no decision. Meanwhile the startups with the relevant capability cannot get past procurement, the investors cannot tell which market is forming, and the ecosystem that should connect them is not organised to do it.
Subirachs Ventures was built to work in that gap - with enough strategic depth to frame the decision, and enough operating experience to build the thing that follows it.
Our approach to innovation
We start from the decision, not the technology. Every engagement begins by writing down what has to be decided, who owns that decision, what would make the answer yes, what would make it no, and by when.
We design work that can fail. A pilot with no possible negative outcome produces no information, and information is what the client is paying for.
We treat adoption as a design constraint rather than a final phase. Who would operate this, what it replaces, what procurement and risk require - those questions belong at the start, because they determine whether anything survives the pilot.
And we prefer a clear no reached early to an expensive maybe reached late.
Leadership
Founded and led by Silvia Mogas.
Silvia Mogas is a founder, venture builder and strategist with more than 20 years of international experience across marketing, partnerships, business development, growth and international market expansion.
Since 2019 her work has focused on emerging technology: digital assets, trust infrastructure, on-chain and financial infrastructure, AI adoption and consumer technology. She has founded and built ventures, advised companies entering complex markets, and worked across the ecosystems where those markets form.
She is a global speaker and university lecturer, and works with accelerators, innovation programmes and founder communities. Her personal platform - speaking, media, teaching and thought leadership - is published separately at silviamogas.com.
She leads every Subirachs Ventures engagement directly. That is the point of the model: clients get the same judgement throughout, rather than a senior pitch and a junior delivery.
Operating model
Founder-led. Network-executed.
Subirachs Ventures is intentionally not structured as a large firm. It is a founder-led platform that assembles the right people for each project.
One point of judgement
Strategy, framing and direction stay with the founder throughout. There is no handover between the people who scoped the work and the people who do it.
Specialist partners on demand
Research, engineering, design, legal, communications and regional expertise are brought in per project from a network of specialist partners and operators, chosen for the specific problem.
Ventures as proof
The platform builds its own ventures. That keeps the advisory work honest: we recommend what we are willing to do ourselves.
Selective engagement
We take on work where there is a real decision to make and someone with the authority to make it. That constraint is what keeps the model working.
This is a deliberate choice, not a stage we are hoping to grow out of. It keeps the work senior, the overhead low and the capability matched to each project rather than to a payroll.
Global operating model
New York. Barcelona. Dubai. Global reach.
Presence across three regions, each of which contributes something the others cannot.
New York
Capital markets, institutional networks and North American go-to-market. Where the capital and the institutional buyers are.
Barcelona
European startup ecosystems, innovation programmes, universities and technology talent. Where a great deal of the building happens.
Dubai
The platform's registered base and its gateway to Gulf, wider MENA and Asian markets, with unusually direct access to institutions and regulators.
Work is delivered globally. Location matters for access and relationships, not for where a document gets written.
The wider ecosystem
Related platforms.
Subirachs Ventures sits alongside two other properties with deliberately separate remits.
- Blockchain Marketing Boutique
The specialist digital asset practice within the platform: market strategy, narrative, communications and go-to-market for Web3 and digital asset companies.
- Silvia Mogas
The founder's personal platform: speaking, moderation, media, teaching and executive thought leadership.
- Trust The Signal Media
Independent editorial and market intelligence on emerging technology, markets and the people building in them.
Common questions
About the platform.
Is Subirachs Ventures a consultancy or a venture studio?
Both functions exist within one platform. It advises companies and institutions on innovation and emerging technology, and it builds and operates its own ventures. The two reinforce each other: the advisory work is informed by building, and the building is informed by market work.
How large is the team?
Subirachs Ventures is founder-led. Silvia Mogas leads every engagement, and specialist partners, operators and collaborators are brought in per project. The platform does not present itself as a large firm because it is not one, and the model depends on that.
Where is Subirachs Ventures based?
The platform has presence across New York, Barcelona and Dubai, with global operating reach. Its registered entity is BMBWeb3 Global FZCO in Dubai, UAE.
What kind of organisations does it work with?
Corporates and institutions, founders and startups, investors and funds, innovation ecosystems and programme organisers. The common factor is a real decision about emerging technology and someone with the authority to act on it.
Start with the decision you are trying to make.
